We are strategically located at Changjalu, Olakha Thimphu, a scenic five-minute drive from the city center and just off the main highway. Norbu in English means “Jewel” and Healing is about our services that we are equipped “Professionalism and dedication beyond merely meeting your expectations”.

Our accommodation caters to various preferences with 16 Deluxe Rooms “an average measurement of 360 square feet”. All the rooms are well furnished with twin and couple bedded rooms and a balcony.  Every room have private bathroom with shower and all essential amenities for your conveniences. Inspired by Bhutan’s unique development philosophy of Gross National Happiness, our hotel aligns its operations with eco-friendly practices to preserve the pristine natural beauty of our surroundings.

Here’s how we care for the planet:

  • Minimizing Plastic use Policy: We avoid single-use plastics and provide biodegradable alternatives.
  • Water Conservation: Low-flow showers, dual-flush toilets, and regular monitoring to reduce water waste.
  • Energy Efficiency: Use of LED lighting, regular monitoring to conserve energy.
  • Green Housekeeping: Eco-friendly detergents and minimal chemical cleaning products for guest rooms and common areas.

 

  • We use locally produced in-room amenities, including herbal shower gels and shampoos made with natural Bhutanese ingredients—safe for your skin and for the environment.
  • Locally Sourced Products: Majority of our food and amenities are sourced from local farmers and artisans to reduce carbon footprints and support the local economy.

Bhutan Travel Policy

Planning your visit to Bhutan and Norbu Healing Hotel? Here’s everything you need to know about current travel requirements:

  • Must book travel through a licensed Bhutanese tour operator or their international partners.
  • A visa is required and is processed only after payment of the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF).
  • SDF: USD $100 per person per night (subject to change).
  • Visa processing time: Approximately 5 working days.
  • Must carry a passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry.
  •  
  • No visa is required for entry.
  • All regional tourists are required to pay the Sustainable Development Fee (SDF):
  • SDF: Nu. 1,200 (approx. USD $14) per person per night.
  • Entry Permits are required and can be obtained at the border entry points or Paro Airport.
  • Indian nationals can use either a passport or voter ID card issued by the Election Commission of India.
  •  

    Note: Children under 5 are exempt from SDF. Children aged 6–12 receive a 50% discount.

  • The main international airport is Paro International Airport.
  • Airlines: Druk Air and Bhutan Airlines operate direct flights from:
    • India (Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bagdogra)
    • Nepal (Kathmandu)
    • Thailand (Bangkok)
    • Singapore
    • Bangladesh (Dhaka)
  • Bhutan follows a High Value, Low Volume tourism policy to preserve its natural and cultural heritage.

  • Visitors are encouraged to be mindful of the environment and local customs.
  • Spring (March to May) – for flowers, festivals, and pleasant weather.
  • Autumn (September to November) – for clear skies, beautiful landscapes, and major festivals.
